Before you hire

Questions to ask before you hire an agent.

A short interview

Use these with anyone, including me.

A good hire is someone who tells you the truth, answers the phone, and still gets the work done when the week is hard. Eight questions are enough to find that out.

Use them with anyone. If you want to walk through them together, call, text, or leave a note. I will answer them in plain language.

The interview

Eight questions

If someone cannot answer these plainly, keep looking.

01

Who will I actually hear from: you, or someone on a team?

02

Have you sold homes in the towns I am considering?

03

How quickly do you respond, and how do we talk once we are under contract?

04

What should I know about this street that will not show up in the listing?

05

How do you decide a price, and what happens if we are wrong?

06

When it gets hard (multiple offers, a short appraisal, a house I should walk away from), what do you do?

07

What does this actually cost, and what is included?

08

Who are you not the right fit for, and why should I hire you?

If you want answers

Ask me any of them.

I would rather answer these now than have you wonder later. Call, text, send a DM, or leave a note, whichever is easiest.
